Recently, Chemical Society Reviews, an online publication of the Royal Society of Chemistry, published a review paper written by Professor Ruijiao Dong’team. ("Digital synthetic polymers for information storage"; DOI: https://doi.org/10.1039/D2CS01022D). This review systematically reviews the research progress of digital synthetic polymers for information storage in the past ten years, and classifies digital synthetic polymers according to different kinds of polymers, summarizes their remarkable characteristics from the aspects of encoding, decoding, editing, erasing, encrypting and repairing.
